Step-by-step guides for people new to Blackbyrd’s stack and process — future hires, contractors, designers, devs. Different from runbooks (which are for operators executing a known procedure); tutorials assume zero prior context.

Sections (planned)

Day 1 onboarding

  • Setting up your dev environment — Local, repos, licenses, GridPane access
  • Tour of the locked stack — what each plugin does, why we picked it
  • Tour of hangar — dashboard, handbook, client portals
  • Reading the brand book — design tokens, voice, mark usage

Stack tutorials

  • Building your first ACF field group — JSON sync workflow end-to-end
  • Building your first Etch template — design tokens → builder → ACF binding
  • Writing your first WS Form → ACF pipeline
  • Adding a snippet to escsc-custom — when not to edit functions.php

Process tutorials

  • Walking through the audit pack — Phase 1 deliverable, what each section means
  • Reading a monthly client report — what the numbers mean, what’s normal vs concerning
  • The week-by-week build plan — Phase 4 daily rhythm

Status

Stub. Tutorials land when there’s a new hire or contractor to write them for. The first ESCSC client #2 onboarding probably triggers the first batch.
